We support FMCSA's continued focus on driver training standards and roadway safety. For the Florida students caught in the transition following recent provider removals, we've compiled publicly available resources: Florida's education oversight body, the federal training registry, and Florida's workforce development network.

Fill out the information below to receive these resources.

Your information will be shared with participating FTA member schools, who may contact you directly about training options. FTA does not control if or when a training provider follows up.

Resources:

       To file a complaint:

  1. Florida Department of Education / Commission for Independent Education — oversees licensing of Florida truck driving schools. The state is also requiring affected institutions to identify impacted students, provide refunds where required and report their corrective actions and communications with federal regulators. Contact them to verify a school's state licensing status or file a complaint: Contact CIE

To enroll in a new training provider:

  2. FMCSA Training Provider Registry — search for currently registered training providers before enrolling elsewhere: https://tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov/

    To determine additional workforce resources:

  3. CareerSource Florida — Florida's workforce development network, which may offer tuition assistance, career counseling, or job-placement support: https://careersourceflorida.com/career-services/
