FTA OFFERS SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR MANY OF OUR EVENTS! Learn more.
FTA Code of Conduct
Florida Trucking Association (“FTA”) encourages the furtherance of the trucking industry by community involvement and networking among its members, vendors, third-parties and others who may be present at any FTA sponsored event (“FTA’s Stakeholders”). FTA cannot monitor and control each and every interaction between its Stakeholders and expects Stakeholders will handle themselves in a professional manner at all times. FTA also expects its Stakeholders will report any unprofessional conduct or conduct which violates this Code of Conduct to the FTA’s officers, directors, or Chief Executive Officer immediately. FTA emphasizes there is no place for any conduct which is unlawful, demeans, bullies, threatens, creates discomfort, or creates a hostile environment for any person. Conduct which is unbecoming of FTA or its image is strictly prohibited.
In furtherance of the mission and image of FTA, and to ensure the enjoyment of its events by all Stakeholders, FTA adopts the Code of Conduct described above. The Code of Conduct will be enforced as part of FTA’s Event Participation Policy (“this Policy”). This Policy applies to all Stakeholders at any time before, during, and after any FTA sponsored event which is in any way affiliated with any FTA sponsored event. By attending any FTA event, each attendee expressly understands and agrees to be bound by this Policy and will accept, without recourse, any decision applying this Policy to their conduct by the Board of Directors or the Chief Executive Officer. Registration and attendance at any FTA event vests no property right in the registrant/attendee, and instead creates only a license which may be revoked at any time, for violation of this Policy, or for any reason deemed sufficient by the Board of Directors or the Chief Executive Officer. A registrant/attendee who has their license to attend the event revoked will not be refunded any sum, must vacate the event and property hosting the event immediately, and may be subject to additional sanctions up to and including removal from the FTA (without refund) and banishment from any future participation or attendance at FTA sponsored events. By attending this event, the registrant/attendee agrees to hold FTA harmless, and further agrees to defend and indemnify FTA along with its officers .
